TruShield Insurance
TruShield Insurance is focused on providing coverage to small-to-medium-sized businesses and entrepreneurs. While at Jacknife, I led brand strategy and co-creative directed brand design including a short film series featuring small business owners’ stories. Our research aimed to understand small business owners’ experiences, and helped set the guiding brand narrative—“Here For What’s To Come.” Rooted in the notion of TruShield as not only an ally and valued partner, it also reflects the brand’s affinity with small business as it is itself an entrepreneurial-minded venture in the insurance category. Deliverables included redesign of brand identity, print and digital collateral, website, brand guidelines and two successive marketing campaigns. The “Founders: Behind the Hustle” short film series shines a spotlight on owners’ stories to illustrate how running a small business can be a path filled with unexpected twists and turns both exhilarating and exasperating, yet ultimately rewarding when you are driven and have the right partners in your corner. Part of an always-on content program, the series helped drive traffic to TruShield’s website for deeper engagement. Our collective efforts were successful in reaching our audience and awareness goals, raised brand engagement and qualified leads, and most importantly helped established a solid relationship between TruShield and small business owners across Canada.
